How do you replace the battery of the Citroën C4 remote control?

In order to replace the battery of the Citroën C4 remote control, you need to pry open the bottom of the device so that you can detach the panel at the back. Once this panel is removed, you will be able to locate the underlying battery which now needs to be removed from its housing. At this point, you can insert the new battery into its slot, covering everything with the panel afterwards. After installation, you should check that the key works when inserted into the lock and that its buttons are also functioning.
