How to change the transmission oil in the Citroen C1.

On your Citroën C1, the oil change for the transmission is performed from underneath the car while keeping it level, as the correct level is achieved “flush with the hole.” Secure the car on jack stands or a lift, wear gloves and goggles, and work with the transmission warm, not hot. Before draining, take care of the fill/level plug: it should be loosened to ensure you can later reinsert the oil. Once you are sure that the upper plug is moving, position a container under the transmission and open the drain plug to let the used oil flow out. Allow it to drain until the flow reduces, then clean the area around the plugs and close the drain with its seal in good condition, tightening without forcing it. Next, proceed to fill through the level/fill hole using a pump or a syringe with a tube, which allows you to push the oil into the transmission even in tight spaces. Continue until the oil reaches the correct level and begins to spill out of the hole: that is the practical reference when the car is level. At that point, close the level/fill plug, clean up any spills, and check for leaks. After a short drive, check under the car to ensure the area around the plugs is dry.
