How do you remove the front shock absorber on a Citroen C4? The first step is to lift the bonnet and secure it. Remove the plastic cover, then unscrew the securing bolts of the shock absorber with the appropriate tool. Lift the car on a column lift and remove the front wheel. Unscrew the bolts securing the shock absorber to the wheel hub with a socket wrench (disconnect the brake line tubes with a screwdriver). Unscrew the bolts on the side, then remove the shock absorber from its housing (place a support under the bar). Compare the old part with the new one and prepare for installation.
