Replacing Valve Guide Seals

When replacing the cylinder head gasket or carrying out a repair that involves the cylinder head, it is good practice to also replace the valve guide seals. Use a valve spring compressor to compress the valve return spring, separate the retaining caps, and extract the valve from its seat; then remove the old seal and insert the new one after lubricating it; also lubricate the valve before inserting it back into its seat and reassemble the spring, ensuring the retaining caps are accurately positioned. Repeat the same steps for all valves.
