Clutch Replacement for the Citroen C4 Picasso

Replacing the clutch on a vehicle is a rather complex operation that should be carried out by experienced personnel. Below, we summarise the most important steps for the replacement. First, lift the vehicle from the front and remove the front wheels. Remove the wheel arch protection cover and the splash guards. Then, remove the right wheel hub and the entire front suspension assembly. Next, disconnect the constant velocity joint from the differential. From above the engine bay, proceed to remove the battery and the ECU. This gives access to the work area to remove the clutch. Unscrew all the fastening bolts of the assembly, then remove the clutch cover to access the clutch disc and pressure plate.
