Replacing Front Brake Pads on Dacia Sandero

Replacing the brake pads is a maintenance task that can be easily done yourself; start by lifting the vehicle to remove the front wheel: if using the jack provided with the vehicle, apply a jack stand or place the tyre under the vehicle to support it in case the jack fails; at this point, unscrew the lower pin of the caliper and rotate it upwards to extract the old pads, remove the sliding plates, brush the respective seat, insert the new plates applying copper grease on the back of the pads to reduce vibrations and avoid squeaking when braking; retract the caliper piston using a C-clamp and refit it onto its support; repeat the same operations on the other wheel and pump the brake pedal before driving.
