The problem of the wastegate valve on the Dacia Duster

In this video we see a rather common problem on the Dacia Duster: that of the wastegate valve on the car's turbo. It is a valve located in the exhaust manifold (turbine side) and its opening is determined by the boost pressure on the compressor side. The valve has a lever that makes this strange noise that we heard in the video; it is heard at low speeds, but if the problem is serious it is always heard. Unfortunately, the valve is located in a difficult place to reach, you have to go behind the reflective shield; as long as it remains like this it is just annoying, it is just the lever that has a bit of play. Otherwise, we will feel that the engine does not "pull" as it should and the noise becomes practically continuous: Unfortunately, Dacia is aware of the problem but they are not authorized to replace it. To change it by yourself, you need to remove the turbo as well: a not insignificant job.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
