How to remove the fuel pump from a Fiat Punto? First, disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions of the car. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap, and remove it from its seat, using absorbent paper or old cloths around the perimeter to soak up any fluid leaks. Use a chisel to unscrew the large securing pin of the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation tubes. Extract the floating fuel pump from its seat along with the attached parts. Finally, install a new piece.
