How do you replace the rear brake pads of the Fiat 500?

In order to replace the rear brake shoes of the Fiat 500, you need to lift the car so that the rear wheels are not in contact with the ground: once this is done, you will need to unscrew the bolts that secure the rear wheels and then remove them completely. After removal, you can proceed by disconnecting the drum and identifying the underlying brake shoes: these can be removed from their actuator by unscrewing the bolts and inserting the new replacement parts. After installation, you will need to put back the wheels and check that everything is working properly.
