How to disassemble the door panel of a Fiat 500?

To disassemble the door panel of a Fiat 500, start by lowering the window completely to facilitate the operation. Next, remove the cover of the interior handle, which is usually secured with a screw hidden under a small plastic cover. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently lift this cover and then unscrew the underlying screw. After removing the handle screw, locate the screws along the bottom and side edge of the door panel. These screws may be covered by small plastic caps that need to be removed with a screwdriver. Unscrew all visible screws. At this point, the panel should only be held in place by plastic clips. Use a plastic panel tool or a flathead screwdriver wrapped in a soft cloth to avoid scratching the paint. Start from the bottom of the panel and gently lever to release the clips. Proceed along the perimeter of the panel, disconnecting all the clips. Once all the clips are released, lift the panel upwards to free it from the top of the door. Be careful with the electric control cables, such as those for the window and door lock. Carefully disconnect these cables before completely removing the panel. With the panel removed, you will have access to the inside of the door to make necessary repairs or modifications.
