How to Remove the Steering Wheel Airbag on a Fiat 500

Learn how to remove the steering wheel airbag on a Fiat 500. Before removing the steering wheel, mark the depth on the screwdriver that needs to be inserted at the back of the wheel. Insert the screwdriver into the slots at the back of the wheel and turn it left or right until the clips holding the airbag release. Once the airbag is removed, disconnect the power connectors and extract it from the wheel. For reassembling the airbag: connect the power connector, then press it back onto the wheel until the locking clips snap into place.
