How to change the brake pads of a Fiat 500?

To change the brake pads of a Fiat 500, start by parking the car on a flat and safe surface. Lift the vehicle using a jack, making sure to place support stands for safety. Once lifted, remove the wheel corresponding to the brakes you want to replace. Now you have access to the brake caliper, which is attached to the disc. Using a wrench, loosen the bolts holding the caliper in place. After removing the caliper, be careful not to damage the brake hose, either by resting it carefully or suspending it so as not to put it under tension. At this point, you can remove the old brake pads, which may be slightly stuck. Use a tool to push back the caliper piston, making room for the new pads. Install the new pads in their housings and put the caliper back in place, tightening the bolts again. Make sure everything is securely in place before putting the wheel back on. After lowering the car, remember to press the brake pedal several times to readjust the pressure in the system. A short test drive will allow you to verify that the brakes are working properly.
