In this video, we see the path of the parking brake cables of a Fiat Ducato, which act on the brake calipers: when we pull the handbrake from inside, we are acting on the cable that is framed, which pulls the metal rod. This rod, through a mechanism, splits into two, so that one of the cables goes to the right wheel and the other to the left wheel, allowing each to reach the brake caliper, obviously acting simultaneously. In this way, the vehicle is braked so that it can remain stationary in one place, without moving and without the need to apply pressure on the brake pedal.
