How to do a DIY service with oil and filter change for the Fiat Ducato.

Model: Fiat Ducato MK 2 - Years 1993-2016
Part: Engine oil

On your Fiat Ducato, the DIY maintenance begins with securing the vehicle: work on a flat surface, block the wheels, use appropriate jack stands, and protect yourself since the oil can be very hot. Before draining the oil, it's advisable to slightly warm up the engine and then turn it off, as this allows the oil to flow out more easily. Access from underneath, place a large container, and unscrew the oil pan plug, letting the oil drain completely; during the draining process, it's good practice to check the condition of the washer/seal of the plug and replace it if necessary, then close it without forcing it.

With the oil still draining, move on to the oil filter. On this Ducato, the filter is screw-on and can be more easily accessed from below: loosen it with the appropriate tool, unscrew it by hand, and let it drain. Before installing the new filter, clean the mating surface, lightly lubricate the gasket with a thin layer of oil, and screw it on until it makes contact, finishing the tightening by hand according to the filter manufacturer's instructions.

At this point, refill the oil from the filling point using the grade and quantity specified in the manual, start the engine for a few seconds, and check for any leaks from the plug and filter, then turn it off and check the level with the dipstick after a few minutes, adjusting it if necessary. During the same service, the fuel filter in the engine compartment is also replaced. Protect the area with absorbent cloths, carefully disconnect the hoses and connectors, including any sensor on the filter, and install the new replacement, properly restoring all connections.

After installation, it's important to restore the fuel supply, using the priming pump if available or following the procedure specified for that version, then start the engine and check for any leaks. Used oil and filters must be disposed of at authorized collection/recycling centers: they should never be discarded carelessly. If a warning light appears or the engine has difficulty starting after the maintenance, it's advisable to stop and recheck connections and seals, especially in the fuel system.

How to Replace the Headlight Bulbs on a Mercedes C-Class

Let's see how to replace the headlight bulbs on a Mercedes C-Class. Open the hood by pulling the lever located at the bottom right of the dashboard and secure it with the prop rod. Locate the inspection cap of the headlight (located at the back of the headlight) and remove it. At this point, you will find the bulbs with metal clips; pull the bulb holder out of the headlight and extract the damaged bulbs using a screwdriver or needle-nose pliers. Install the new bulbs (always the correct type and size) and insert the bulb holder back into the headlight. Reassemble all the parts removed earlier.
