How do you remove the fuel pump on a Fiat Punto? First, lift the engine bonnet and secure it with the prop rod, then remove the engine soundproofing panel: use a screwdriver to secure the fuel access to the engine and disconnect the battery cables. Remove the rear seat cushions of the car; undo the securing screws of the metal cover (if present) with a screwdriver, remove it from its seat, and cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to soak up any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation hoses. Finally, extract the fuel pump from its housing along with any attached components.
