How to Replace the Spark Plugs on a Fiat 595 Abarth

To replace the spark plugs on a Fiat 595 Abarth, first remove the intake housing by unscrewing the 10 mm bolt, unclipping the clips, lifting the housing, and extracting the filter. Blow away dust and debris to prevent dirt from falling into the engine, then disconnect the electrical connectors of the 4 coils; unscrew the retention bolt of the rail to move the wiring harness back (this makes the job much easier); loosen the nut that secures each coil and remove them. Insert a 16 mm socket into the spark plug well, loosen the spark plug, and then unscrew it by hand. Meanwhile, obtain 4 NGK Iridium spark plugs from Amazon with code B0019I33FQ at £12.24 each, with free delivery for Prime customers. Gently insert the new spark plug into the socket, screwing it in by hand, then give it half a turn with the socket. Now, refit the coil into its seat, tighten the 10 mm nut, reconnect the electrical connector, and repeat for the other three spark plugs. Reassemble the filter housing, lubricating the mounting points with silicone grease; press the housing down, re-screw the bolt, reconnect the clips, and you're done.
