How to Change a Burnt Glow Plug in a Fiat Doblò Engine

First, locate the burnt glow plug: the quickest method is with a tester. Set it to continuity test, place one probe on the engine block (ground) and the other probe on the tip of the glow plug (top, where the connector attaches). If it does not beep, the glow plug is burnt; if it beeps, the glow plug is still good. In the video, glow plugs no. 2 and no. 4 did not beep, indicating they are burnt. With computerized diagnostics, the control unit specifies exactly which glow plug is burnt. The displayed error is: "glow plug 2: open circuit". For replacement, disconnect the glow plug connectors, unscrew the burnt glow plug with a socket (be careful not to break it), and screw in the new glow plug by hand to avoid damaging the thread, then tighten with a torque wrench. Reconnect the connector. Clear the errors with diagnostics, start the engine, and the warning light is off.
