How to Disable the Beep When Opening/Closing a Fiat Ducato-Based Camper

The beep is generated by a control unit installed by the camper manufacturer or converter. Therefore, locate the control unit under the driver's dashboard (often near the fuse box) and find the buzzer connected to the control unit. Before performing this operation, it is good practice to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. The beep heard when opening or closing the vehicle is not a true alarm but a confirmation signal (feedback beep); to eliminate it, look for a switch or jumper on the camper's control unit labelled "buzzer" and switch it to "off". If there is no switch, physically disconnect the buzzer from the control unit. Caution: this may also disable some alarm signals, so check first. On some models, it can be disabled via the display menu or with specific buttons on the remote control (e.g., press the lock button twice within 3 seconds).
