To clean the EGR valve and throttle body of the 1.3 MultiJet engine, you will need a couple of quiet hours: remove the upper engine cover, disassemble the brake vacuum tube by pressing the two red side buttons and pulling it out. To access the EGR, remove the throttle body by unscrewing the two T30 Torx screws holding it: take the opportunity to clean it as well; disconnect the electrical connector and remove the EGR valve.

Clean both the mechanical part and the duct with white spirit and an old toothbrush.

If the gasket is copper like in the video, use red silicone paste for reassembly: pay attention to the valve's direction. Tighten the two screws (without over-tightening), reconnect the connector, reassemble the throttle body, placing the gasket and the three screws back in position, reattach the brake vacuum tube, and the engine cover.
