Operation: Remove the gear cable on Fiat Punto

We replace the shift cable in the Fiat Punto if we have problems. We lift the bonnet and put it in safety, then, with a socket wrench, unscrew the locking pins of the clutch cable. We begin to disassemble the clamping pins of the gearshift cable as shown in the video. Once the bolts have been unscrewed from their seat, we are going to remove them. We extract the clutch cable to the inside of the car (central tunnel). Once the cable has been removed, we assemble the new piece in the engine compartment. We thread the new cable from the engine compartment to the central tunnel, screw in the locking pins.

Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD gearbox oil replacement

Let's see in this guide the main steps to be able to change the transmission oil of the second series Fiat Ducato, with 2.8 JTD engine. First of all we lift the car and go to locate the gear oil vent bolt, which we find near the transmission; we use a hex wrench to unscrew it, letting it drain the old oil in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we open the bonnet and remove the air intake sleeve, so as to be able to access the gearbox oil filling hole; then we fill up to the maximum level!
