Checking the battery, especially during winter, is one of the most crucial operations for reliable starting. Start by checking the open circuit voltage of the battery with a tester. Connect the positive and negative probes of the instrument to the respective terminals of the battery. The correct voltage should be equal to or greater than 12.8V; if not, recharge the battery. If the problem persists, it is necessary to replace it with a new one. Start the engine and check that the voltage is around 14V.
