Fiat Panda - Video tutorial

Model: Fiat Panda MK 2, 169 - Years 2003-2012
Part: Glow plugs
Operation: How to replace the glow plugs in a Fiat Panda 1.3 MultiJet

In this video tutorial we can see how to replace the glow plugs in a Fiat Panda 1.3 Multijet by following a few simple steps: the operation is simple but delicate at the same time because the glow plugs are very thin in proportion to their length and are connected to the part of the engine that heats up the most, they are subject to sudden changes in temperature, and their extraction may be complicated; therefore it is recommended to apply some days before, the unblocking where the glow plugs screw into their seat and we repeat this operation every day, up to a moment before having to remove them. First we disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the engine cover, with the air box. With a compressed air gun we clean the seat, so that the dirt does not fall into the combustion chamber, once the glow plugs have been removed. We remove the caps of each spark plug, pulling them upwards because they are fixed by pressure; then with an 8 wrench we go to unscrew our candles delicately because they could break. Install the new spark plugs loosely.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
