In this video, you can see where the starter motor is located in the Fiat Ducato van and how to proceed if you need to replace it. As shown, the starter motor is situated at the lower part of the engine, right next to the gearbox. To access and subsequently remove it, first disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to operate safely, then go underneath the engine compartment, disconnect the power supply, and undo the relevant fixing bolts with a 13 mm socket spanner.

To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
