In this video we can see where the starter motor is located in the Fiat Ducato van and how to proceed if we need to replace it. As shown, the starter motor is located in the lower area of the engine, just beside the transmission housing. To access it and subsequently disassemble it, we will first of all have to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery in order to operate in safety, after which we can go underneath the engine compartment, disconnect the power supply and unscrew the relative fastening bolts with a socket wrench of 13mm. To fit the spare part, simply follow the reverse procedure.
