If you want to proceed with a DIY approach to remove the driver's side airbag on this model, the following description provides all the information and steps required for the replacement. After accessing the cabin, obtain a Torx key to unscrew and unlock the screws securing the plastic cover of the steering column, which allows you to unlock and then remove the central steering wheel assembly where the horn and airbag are located.

Once the central lock is released, proceed to remove the retaining clips located at the back, and in this way, you will have freed the airbag assembly, which you can then remove and possibly replace with a new one.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
