If you want to proceed with a DIY approach to remove the driver's side airbag on this model, the following description provides all the information and steps required for the replacement. After accessing the cabin, obtain a Torx key to unscrew and unlock the screws securing the plastic cover of the steering column, which allows you to unlock and then remove the central steering wheel assembly where the horn and airbag are located. Once the central lock is released, proceed to remove the retaining clips located at the back, and in this way, you will have freed the airbag assembly, which you can then remove and possibly replace with a new one.
