How to Dismantle the Brake System of the Classic 500

Model: Fiat 500 Epoca - Years 1957-1975

The 500 we are working on is a "F" model from 1968; the components vary significantly depending on the year of manufacture. Start by disconnecting the fuse box and removing the bracket that holds the brake fluid container, then free the reservoir and empty its fluid - which we will dispose of properly. Next, work around the wheel hubs by removing the grease cap. Remember that the nuts on the driver’s side and passenger’s side turn in different directions! Remove the drum. Now the shoes are exposed, which we will remove by prying from the back. Next, you need to remove the cylinder. For better access, completely remove the plate from the back. It’s not easy as this is a very old system. Let any remaining oil drain from the cylinder. Don’t lose the washer! Do the same on the other side, remembering that the nut on the passenger side is right-hand threaded. Then, unscrew the nuts that hold the pump to the pedal assembly, which we can then remove.

How to Replace the Battery on a Honda Vision 110

To replace the battery on a Honda Vision 110, you need to remove the front fairing of the motorcycle, located directly under the front headlamp. To loosen this panel, unscrew the two screws found at its top, just below the handlebar. Once these screws are loosened, lever under the panel to detach it, gaining access to the battery underneath: this battery must be removed from its housing by unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the power cables, replacing it with a new one.
