Replacing the Cabin Air Filter on the Fiat 500

One of the tasks included in a service for the Fiat 500 is replacing the air filter. To do this, open the bonnet of the engine compartment; you will find the filter box directly in front of you at the centre of the engine. Use a 10 mm spanner to unscrew the two side screws that hold it in place, disconnect the inlet hose, and remove the box. With a 7 mm spanner, unscrew the filter cover and open it, allowing you to remove the old filter element and replace it with a new one. Close the cover and secure it with its screws; when repositioning the filter housing, ensure it fits properly in its seat, and once in place, secure it with the two screws.
