Additionally, if you try to engage the central locking before disconnecting the battery, the alarm will usually sound, as the battery is located inside the cabin. However, there is a way to manually close the passenger door: insert a small screwdriver into the hole above the door lock; lift the latch inside and close the door, which will remain shut.
