Installing a LED Lighting Accessory Kit in the Glove Compartment

Illuminating the glove compartment is a convenience when searching for items at night. Obtain the LED kit. Lift the soft cover of the gear lever and locate the power wires for the cigarette lighter. Using 'current thieves', which are clips that allow you to tap into a wire without cutting it, connect two wires: red for positive and black for negative. Run the two wires under the dashboard into the glove compartment. Fix a normally open button on the inner edge of the compartment near the closing door so that when you open the glove compartment, the contact closes and turns on the LED strip you have attached inside the glove compartment.
