How do you reset the Service light on the Ford Galaxy?

The Service light that is shown on the instrument panel of the Ford Galaxy can be reset by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot, so that the instrument panel can be turned on. Once the panel is turned on, you can press the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time. This will display a message on the instrument panel indicating that the reset is in progress: after a few seconds, you can verify that the light has disappeared from the instrument panel, which can then be turned off by turning the key.
