How to change the rear brake pads on a Ford Focus? Lift the car with a column jack to the desired height, then remove the wheel (using a telescopic wrench or air drill) with the respective nuts. Unscrew the retaining bolt of the brake caliper, and remove it from the wheel support. Use a screwdriver to detach the pads from the wheel hub caliper, then fit the new pads onto the brake caliper. Reattach the brake caliper with the brake disc support: tighten all the nuts and refit the previously removed wheel.
