Part: Timing belt
Operation: How to replace the timing belt / chain on Ford Ka

How to replace the timing belt / chain on Ford Ka: we lift the car on a column bridge or jack (if necessary, we remove the front wheel, with a screwdriver the right wheel guard). Once these are done, we lift the engine hood, remove the engine soundproofing panel, the belt cover and the ventilation kit. With a suitable fixed wrench we loosen the belt tensioner roller and remove the belt from its seat. After having mounted the new belt, with a fixed wrench we go to tighten the belt tensioner roller, we stretch until we have the right tension of the belt (previously mounted). Finally we check the belt tensioner and the belt itself, we tighten everything with the socket wrench.
