How to Replace the Timing Belt/Chain on a Ford Ka

How to replace the timing belt/chain on a Ford Ka: Lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to detach the right wheel arch liner). Once these operations are complete, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel, the belt cover, and the air intake kit. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to tension the tensioner pulley until the belt has the correct tension (as previously fitted). Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, and tighten everything with a socket spanner.
