Here’s how to reset the service light on a Ford Transit: first, turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then press the accelerator and brake pedals down fully at the same time (both must be completely pressed). Hold this position for at least 20 seconds. The service light should flash and then turn off, indicating it has been reset. This procedure is common on many older Ford models (Transit, Focus, Fiesta), but it can also work in emergencies on newer models. If it doesn’t work on the first attempt, ensure you press both pedals simultaneously and hold until the light starts flashing.
