How do you replace the key fob battery of a Ford Focus? Follow these steps. Take your key fob and use a screwdriver to pry around the cover cap (remove it). Pry between the two halves until they separate, then extract the worn battery using a screwdriver. Get a new battery of the same size and voltage. Refit the cap onto the key fob cover until you hear it click into place. Check the proper functioning of the key fob by testing the door lock and unlock buttons.
