How to Replace the Clutch on a Ford Ranger

To replace the clutch on a Ford Ranger, safely lift the vehicle and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the driveshaft and disconnect the electrical and mechanical connections attached to the gearbox. Support the gearbox with a suitable stand, unscrew the fastening bolts, and separate it from the engine. Once the clutch assembly is exposed, unscrew the bolts of the pressure plate and remove the worn clutch disc and pressure plate. Check the condition of the flywheel and replace the release bearing if necessary. Position the new clutch disc using a centring tool and fit the new pressure plate, tightening the bolts evenly. Refit the gearbox, reconnect all previously removed components, and check the correct operation of the clutch pedal.
