Complete Oil and Filter Service for Ford B-Max

Change the oil and filters on the Ford B-Max: the pollen filter is located on the passenger side under the dashboard: remove the panel held by a single screw, take out the three screws of the access door and change the filter: an activated carbon filter is recommended as it also retains odours. The air filter is located in the engine compartment, under the cover: loosen the duct clamp, remove the connector, loosen the screws of the cover, remove the old filter and insert the new one. Move on to the windscreen washer fluid: 1 part concentrated fluid and two parts demineralised water. Check the brake fluid level: if it decreases, it is because the pads are wearing and the fluid occupies the space in the caliper cylinders. Check the coolant level when the engine is cold, which should be between minimum and maximum: top up if necessary, with fluid of the same colour as that in the reservoir. The fuel filter is located in the engine compartment: remove the three screws of the support bracket; disconnect the electrical connections (lift the safety tab); disconnect the fuel lines (press the white button to release). Remove the two screws that secure the filter to the housing, then drain the old fuel; open the filter by rotating the top and remove the screws holding the filter holder. Fill the new filter with clean fuel before fitting it (to prevent the system from sucking in air and having difficulty starting). To change the engine oil, lift the front of the car, remove the lower panel, drain the oil by removing the plug and letting it flow into a large container (which we will dispose of correctly at an authorised centre). Also replace the filter (and the gasket). Change the plug and gasket, then refill the oil from above (after bringing the car back to the ground). Fill to the maximum or slightly below. Start the engine for 5 minutes to circulate the oil, then turn off and wait 10 minutes for the oil to settle in the sump. Check the level and add if necessary (it will probably be about half a litre short to fill the cartridge).
