How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Ford Focus

Learn how to remove and replace the timing belt on a Ford Focus. Remove the coolant reservoir (located in the engine bay), lift the car on a column lift and remove the wheel, then unscrew the right wheel arch liner with a socket wrench. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. With a socket wrench, unscrew the tensioner pulley securing bolt and remove it from the engine bay. Fit the new tensioner and belt, tightening everything with the spanner. Finally, reassemble the wheel arch liner, fit the wheel, and reattach the coolant reservoir.
