How to Reset the Engine Oil Light in a Ford Focus

To reset the engine oil light in a Ford Focus, get in the vehicle and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Once the display is on, press the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously and hold them for about 20-25 seconds. During this operation, a message will appear on the display indicating the start of the engine oil reset procedure, followed by a confirmation of completion. At that point, release the pedals and turn off the ignition. Wait a few seconds, then restart the vehicle to check that the oil light has indeed been reset.
