Replacing the engine oil and filter is a maintenance task that can be easily done yourself. However, given the relatively low cost of the service and labour, it is advisable to consult a professional who can check the overall condition of the vehicle during this simple service and assess the need for any other work. Once the vehicle is lifted and the cover removed, unscrew the oil drain plug located behind the sump and the filter located in front of the oil sump, slightly higher up. Clean the filter seat, apply oil to the gasket of the new filter before screwing it in, then fill the engine with new oil until the maximum level is reached.
