Dismantling and Replacing the Alternator

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004

Remove the coolant reservoir and place it on its side to access the alternator. Lift the vehicle on a ramp and start unscrewing the screws located at the bottom, then lower the vehicle and proceed from the bonnet with those at the top. Once the alternator is free from the mounts and the belt, disconnect it and pull it upwards to extract it from its housing. This operation is challenging and requires the removal of some components to create the necessary space for extraction. After removing the faulty alternator, proceed with the reverse operations to replace it with the new component.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
