Replacing the worn filter and oil on a Ford Fiesta? Here's how to replace the filter and oil. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and unscrew the oil cap. Lift the car on a jack and unscrew the oil filter using a strap wrench. Extract the worn oil filter and position a new one. Unscrew the bolt of the oil sump (if you want to replace the oil); let the fluid drain into a container. Lower the car and top up the oil.
