Removing the Rear Bumper on Ford Focus

Replacing the rear bumper on a Ford Focus if damaged or if you need to remove something inside. Open and lift the tailgate, then use a screwdriver or battery-powered drill to unscrew the securing screws located at the top of the bumper, then remove the screws located at the sides of the car's wheel arches. Check for any screws underneath the bumper. Use a lever to detach the securing clips located at the bottom of the bumper (between the black plastic trim and the bumper). Grip the bumper and pull it away from the bodywork (disconnect any power cables). Work inside the bumper or fit a new one.
