Replacing the fuel filter on a Ford Transit? Let's look at the disassembly. Lift the bonnet and secure it. Once you locate the fuel filter, disconnect it from the pipes and connection cables. Use a spanner to unscrew the fastening bolts of the upper cover of the filter, and unscrew the central bolt on the filter. Pull out the worn filter and screw in the new filter with its cap. Refit the filter housing in the engine bay with all its parts (pipes and power cables). Start the vehicle and check the starting of the Transit.
