How to Remove Cabin Fan on Ford Edge

Model: Ford Edge U387, MK 1 - Years 2006-2014

On the Ford Edge, the internal cabin fan is located at the lower centre of the dashboard, between the passenger side dashboard and the driver's area. First, disconnect the battery. To access it, you can only remove the passenger side dashboard area, so take out everything in the glove compartment and remove it. The fan on this car may be a bit difficult to remove due to its particular housing position, but it is secured with standard screws that do not require special tools. There are three bolts holding the outer housing and three screws securing the cover; finally, disconnect the fan cable with a sharp object.
