How to Replace the Thermostat on a Ford Ka

Model: Ford Ka MK 1 - Years 1996-2008

Before you can start, you must open the car's bonnet. Ensure this operation is performed with the engine cold. Once the bonnet is open, proceed to remove all hoses connected to the air filter housing, then remove the air filter housing itself. This will expose the thermostat. Before you can remove it, you must also disconnect all hoses connected to it. After this, unscrew and remove the bolts around the perimeter of the thermostat. Once the bolts are removed, you can easily take out the thermostat. To install the new thermostat, simply follow the steps in reverse, and you will have successfully completed the replacement.
