In this tutorial we will see how to disassemble and replace the thermostat of a Ford Ka 1.3 44 kW Duratec 8V. First we open and lift the bonnet of our car and we go to remove the battery, disconnecting the terminals (positive and negative pole); after which we remove the battery holder, unscrewing the screws, and the air filter box; then disconnect the electrical connector of the thermostatic valve and disconnect the thermostat tube, draining all the liquid contained inside. We just have to unscrew the fixing screws of the same to remove and replace it!
