In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove and replace the thermostat on a Ford Ka 1.3 44 kW Duratec 8V. First, open and lift the bonnet of your car and remove the battery by disconnecting the terminals (positive and negative); then remove the battery tray by unscrewing the screws, and take out the air filter housing; next, disconnect the electrical connector of the thermostat valve and disconnect the thermostat pipe, allowing all the fluid inside to drain out. Finally, unscrew the fixing screws to remove and replace the thermostat!
