Replacing the Thermostat on Ford Ka

Let’s look at removing the thermostat on a Ford Ka along with its associated parts. Open the front bonnet, remove the plastic covers that conceal the thermostat, then unscrew the bolts on the thermostat hose cap (use a socket wrench with the appropriate sockets), pull off the sealing cap and extract the coolant thermostat from its housing. Once the part is removed, replace it with a new one: close the designated area with the cap, tighten the bolts securely with all their parts. Ensure that the thermostat valve is correctly inserted and mounted in the appropriate housing, and top up with new coolant. Refit the engine cover plastics.
