How to replace the thermostat housing gasket on a Ford Fiesta?

To replace the thermostat housing gasket on a Ford Fiesta, open the bonnet and remove the plastic cover from the top of the engine. Next, unscrew the bolts and loosen the retaining clips that secure the air filter box to its housing. Then disconnect the cooling hose and its sensor by unclipping the connector. At this point, disconnect and remove the battery by loosening the appropriate bolts: this will provide access to the thermostat, which can be removed by loosening its bolts, allowing you to extract the gasket. This should now be replaced, and all previously removed parts can be reinstalled.
