- Years 2008-2017 In this video you can see how it is possible to remove and replace the starter motor of the Ford Fiesta mk6, following these steps: If your car does not start when you turn the key there could be a problem with the starter motor; So buy a new starter motor for your car and ask for advice from an authorized workshop. So first you have to open the engine hood, disconnect the battery, also disconnect the suction hose. Take a jack to lift the front of the car (see video). Once you have identified the starter motor you have to unscrew the bolts using a 10 and 13 mm wrench. Proceed to replace the old non-working motor with the new one.
