How to Change the Oil and Filter on a Ford Explorer

Changing the engine oil filter and the oil itself is very important to maintain the health of the car and increase its durability. Ensure the engine is off and, importantly, cold to avoid any hazards. Go underneath the car, locate the oil sump, and remove the bolt using a 15 mm spanner. Position a container directly underneath and allow all the used oil to drain out. Once done, refit the bolt. The oil filter is also located in front of the oil sump. Remove it and replace it with a new one. Next, return to the front of the bonnet, locate the oil reservoir, and fill it with new engine oil. Refit the cap and close the bonnet.
