How to Replace the Engine Oil in a Ford Focus

Before starting, open the bonnet of your Ford Focus. Begin by unscrewing and removing the top oil filler cap. Next, lift the front of the car. Then, unscrew and remove the screws securing the lower cover of the oil sump, and remove the oil sump itself. At this point, unscrew and remove the lower drain nut of the oil sump. This will allow the used engine oil to drain out. Once this step is complete, re-screw the lower drain nut, lower the front of the vehicle, and add new oil through the filler hole, completing the replacement.
